Pump House is 2017 City Budget Amendment’s Priority

Jakarta City Council members hoped the proposal of eight pump houses development in North Jakarta can be realized in 2017 city budget amendment. Pump house is needed for North Jakarta since the surface is under the sea level.

“We have entered the rainy season. The proposal must be reviewed and included in 2017 city budget amendment,” said Ramly Muhammad, Jakarta City Council Budgetary Body Member, Tuesday (11/15).
His side hoped the budget can be the priority in 2017 city budget amendment or flood will always haunt North Jakarta areas.

His side remains accelerating the channel normalization and dredging to overcome the puddle quickly.
“We also have mobile pumps to handle the puddle anytime,” he stated.
